How does this work?
You paste a public YouTube link and we generate a clean, timestamped transcript from the subtitles already published with the video. Instant, with no AI transcription and no audio processing involved.
Why can't a transcript be generated for my video?
A transcript can only be generated when the video has subtitles published on YouTube. If the video's owner disabled them and YouTube has no automatic track, there is nothing to build from. Private, members-only, age-restricted, or region-blocked videos are not supported either.
Which languages are supported?
Every language the video actually offers, manual or auto-generated. When several are available you pick the one you want. Auto-generated tracks are labeled so you know the accuracy may be lower.
Do you store my transcripts?
No. The transcript is generated on request, returned to your browser, and not saved by this site. Downloads (TXT, SRT, VTT) are created in your browser from the text already on the page.
Is every public video supported?
No, and we don't claim that. The video needs published subtitles, YouTube may rate-limit requests, and extremely long transcripts above our size limits are rejected. Accuracy of auto-generated tracks is not guaranteed.
