What this service does

This site retrieves caption tracks that already exist on public YouTube videos and presents them as a transcript you can search, copy, or download. It does not download audio or video, does not perform speech recognition, and does not use AI to generate text.

Your responsibilities

• Third-party video and caption content remains owned by its respective rights holders. You must have the rights or a lawful basis for whatever use you make of retrieved captions.
• You agree not to use this service to circumvent access controls, overload the service or YouTube, or violate YouTube's Terms of Service or applicable law.

Service limits and honesty

• Only videos with existing, accessible captions are supported. Private, members-only, age-restricted, region-blocked, removed, and login-required videos are not supported.
• Availability and caption accuracy are not guaranteed. Auto-generated captions in particular can contain errors. Retrieval depends on YouTube endpoints that can change or restrict access at any time.
• Anonymous rate limits apply per client and service-wide. Limits may change without notice to protect the service.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the service.
